A facility currently holding over 3,000 women deprived of liberty. Since 2006, Ina-Inakay has walked alongside these women and their children.
What We Do

Our Programs

Education opens up avenues for poor and needy children, it helps them make wiser choices and find jobs that lead to dignity.

The EAP provides financial assistance for children of incarcerated mothers from Grade 1 through College. Children must maintain a GPA of 80 or higher to continue receiving assistance.

Financial assistance covering school fees and supplies for children in the public school system.
GPA of 80 or higher
Students must maintain good academic standing to continue receiving assistance each school year.
Children of incarcerated mothers
Specifically designed to serve the most vulnerable children left behind when mothers are imprisoned.
Youth Days

Children 12 years and above gather for fun and fellowship in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Through games, food, practical topics, and Bible lessons in small groups, youth are able to be open about their emotions.

Summer Camp

A recreational camping event between school years where inspiring topics are taught. Children grow and develop positively together, outside of their normal living situations.

Adult Training

Guardians with extra responsibilities sometimes lose sight of the value of their role. Inakay assists them through training on selected topics for growth and relationship development.

At the heart of CIW MEETS is the belief that true transformation is only possible through God.

CIW MEETS are quarterly programs conducted within the Correctional Institution for Women, subject to CIW administration approval. Inakay offers Christian worship, Bible study, fellowship, and life skills training.

Family Day
Reuniting mothers with their children and guardians, offering emotional encouragement and strengthening the child's sense of identity and support.
Bible Study
Regular study of God's Word to provide spiritual grounding and direction for women navigating their incarceration journey.
Life Skills Training
Practical training in skills that will help released PDLs transition successfully back into community and family life.
Reintegration often results in major conflict. MST offers a safe, encouraging space for those navigating this difficult transition.

MST is an aftercare program for mothers who have completed their prison term or are on parole. Due to long absence from their children's lives and the challenge of finding work, reintegration is often deeply difficult.

Fellowship Meetings
Regular gatherings where mothers connect with others navigating the same challenges of reintegration.
Bible Study & Prayer
Spiritual anchoring through the Word of God and corporate prayer as mothers find their footing again.
Counseling Support
Professional and peer counseling to address conflict, emotional wounds, and the practical challenges of returning home.
Crops, Crafts & Dreams, Ii Craft Program
The Ii Craft livelihood program empowers former PDLs trained inside prison to weave handicrafts while seeking permanent work. Products are sold locally and in the United States. All income returns to the Handicraft Fund to sustain the program.
